After a long few weeks at home preparing for the new season we were ready for a pause, a change of pace and a bit of space to breathe before the pace picks up again over Easter.

We used to visit Nice regularly, but realised it had been nearly ten years since our last trip — which made coming back feel all the more exciting.

Some things had changed, of course — but plenty hadn’t. And in all the right ways, it still felt just as good to be back.
